Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Ben Edlund created The Tick in 1986 as a comic book mascot for a Boston store. This is the third live-action adaptation after the 2001 Patrick Warburton version.
The show's cancellation after two seasons sparked fan campaigns, with Edlund himself lobbying Amazon. It became a case study in 'cult show killed too soon' discourse.

Reactions from the web
Couple things: 1) It took until about halfway through Ep 5 to get rolling, but it spiked to brilliant very quickly and 2) Peter Serafinowicz should, at long last, become the star he's always been.

Can't wait. I'd love to see the Human Bullet. The Tick getting shot out of a cannon is kind of a little nod. Respect.
