Standout Aspects

Writing

Manohar Shyam Joshi's dialogue still haunts Indian television.

Acting

Alok Nath before he became a meme — devastatingly human.

Direction

Ramesh Sippy proves Sholay wasn't his only masterpiece.

Best for:Solo: Bring tissues. No, seriously. All of them.·Family: Watch with elders who lived it. They'll fill in the silences.·Binge: Twenty episodes of devastation. Pace yourself, masochist.
Heads up:Emotional: Separation, death, and generational trauma throughout.·Disturbing: Partition violence depicted with unflinching historical accuracy.
