Blind Justice is an American television series created by Steven Bochco about a blind New York City police detective. It was introduced mid-season in March 8, 2005 to fill the time slot left by Bochco's highly successful NYPD Blue, which had just aired its final episode after a 12-year run. The show ran for only one season, with 13 episodes broadcast.

Bochco prestige budget on a doomed mid-season replacement.
Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Blind Justice premiered in NYPD Blue's old slot with massive expectations, then hemorrhaged viewers. It's now a case study in 'prestige TV burnout' — networks chasing the Bochco magic long after audiences moved on.
Ron Eldard spent weeks training with a blindness coach and wore opaque contacts for scenes. The show's cancellation came so fast that producers learned from trade reporters, not the network.
