Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The sewer mutt sequence was almost entirely practical effects—real actors in suits, not CGI—which is why it feels so viscerally wrong.
This finale dropped during peak 2015 dystopia fatigue, but its 'both sides are corrupt' messaging hit differently post-2016.

I can't believe The Hunger Games series is actually ending.. It's gonna be weird leaving the cinema knowing there's no movie left for the next year.. 45 days left.
