Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This was the final theatrical Thomas release using the original model/stop-motion hybrid style before the franchise went full CGI with 'King of the Railway' in 2013. RIP tactile trains.
Luke's design is based on the real Skarloey Railway's 'Peter Sam' prototype, and his green paint job matches the Railway Series book illustrations that the TV show often ignored.
