Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This was Cartoon Network's second live-action Ben 10 film, released during the peak 'dark and gritty reboot' era of kids' properties. The nanochip plotline actually adapted a fan-favorite episode arc from Alien Force.
Director Alex Winter (Bill S. Preston, Esq.) had mostly done documentaries before this; he reportedly took the gig because his kids were obsessed with the show. The entire film was shot in 20 days in Louisiana.
