Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This launched the Johnny Wadd franchise and made John Holmes the first adult film star with genuine mainstream recognition—like a sleazy 70s superhero origin story.
Director Bob Chinn shot this in actual Mexico on a shoestring, reportedly bribing locals with beer for location access. The 'production value' you see is basically tourism with a camera.
