A family is terrorized by an evil doll named Robert, which seems to come to life after an elderly housekeeper is dismissed. As the attacks grow more intense, the parents struggle with their disbelief and fear while trying to break the curse before it's too late.

Robert is allegedly based on a real doll in Florida's Fort East Martello Museum, who supposedly moves and causes car accidents. This movie owes him royalties for making him look boring.
The Otto family were real Key West socialites; the film's British working-class setting is a bizarre relocation that somehow makes 'rich people haunted by servants' even more awkward.
