Ronald McDonald discovers Grimace has a whole-ass family and they fight pirates. Peak cinema.
The plot features Ronald and the gang out on a journey to Grimace Island where Grimace's species is discovered. Grimace previously received a letter which was actually written by the pirate captain One-Eyed Sally and her first mate Blather. The two pirates follow them to capture the treasure on the island.

This was the second of six Ronald McDonald direct-to-video films, because apparently five wasn't enough. Kevin Michael Richardson voiced Grimace using the same booming pipes he'd later use for Goro in Mortal Kombat.
The Grimace species lore directly contradicts later McDonald's marketing that claimed Grimace was a taste bud. The fast-food canon is fractured and no one at corporate cares.
