Stunts
Donnie Yen's brutal choreography, especially the dojo massacre
Costume
That green hornet-inspired mask is *chef's kiss* ridiculous
Direction
Andrew Lau's glossy, hyper-stylized 1930s Shanghai aesthetic

Director
Andrew Lau Wai-Keung
Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This is technically a sequel to Bruce Lee's 1972 'Fist of Fury,' with Donnie Yen reprising a role originated by Jet Li in 1994's 'Fist of Legend.' Chinese cinema loves recycling Chen Zhen like Hollywood reboots Spider-Man.
The nightclub sequence where Chen Zhen fights while wearing the mask directly references the 1960s 'Green Hornet' TV series where Bruce Lee played Kato—it's a meta-tribute to Lee's Hollywood career that Chinese audiences immediately recognized.
