This is the eighth film in a franchise that refuses to die, spanning 25+ years of Odette suffering. The original 1994 film was a Disney Renaissance knockoff that somehow outlasted actual Renaissance classics in sequel count.
Richard Rich directed the original 1994 film AND this one. He's been steering this swan boat for nearly three decades. Michelangelo had the Sistine Chapel; Rich has Odette transforming on a budget.
