Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
KochiKame ran 40 years as a manga—this 2003 film captures peak 'lost decade' Japan, where salaryman frustration met absurdist escape.
The UFO crop circle gag parodies 2002's real Nagano sightings that dominated Japanese news—Ryotsu's fake was funnier than the hoax.
