Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Part of Date A Live's sprawling multimedia empire; this arc originally ran as a light novel spin-off before gaining enough cult momentum for adaptation. The 'Bullet' naming convention deliberately echoes the franchise's date-simulation roots while weaponizing them.
The 25-minute runtime was a deliberate constraint — director Jun Nakagawa wanted to replicate the breathless pacing of reading a single light novel volume in one sitting, explaining the aggressive editing that leaves newcomers scrambling.
