Trivia, insights & behind the scenes

Cultural

This represents one of the few cinematic collaborations between Ba'athist-era Iraq and Japanese animators, making it a fascinating Cold War cultural artifact disguised as children's entertainment.

Trivia

Director Faisal Al-Yasiri allegedly destroyed his own prints in the 1990s; surviving copies likely exist only through Japanese television archives and obsessive VHS traders.
