After being bitten by Roxanne, Valerie holds Julia captive; Valerie plans to let Julia die and become a vampire. Gerard plans to have Quentin beheaded as revenge against the Collins family. Gerard and Charles summon the spirit of Amadeus Collins and discover that Valerie is Miranda DuVal, the woman who betrayed Judah in 1692.
